Joanna has over 30 years of clinical experience in the treatment of musculoskeletal (muscle & joint) conditions.
This was gained whilst working in a number of specialist trauma and orthopaedic units in the NHS. She also has extensive experience in the Private Sector managing a varied case load of orthopaedic patients from elective surgery (joint replacement & spinal) to sports injuries. Sports specific involvement has included rugby, gymnastics & classical ballet.
With over ten years' experience in private practice she is familiar with the difficulties patients face in accessing effective treatment.
Jo spent 6 years in the NHS based in a number of GP practices, providing a triage service - assessing, diagnosing and enabling patients to manage their condition. The aim of this type of service is to ensure patients with musculoskeletal conditions are seen by the right clinician at the right time to facilitate a timely recovery. In private practice the need is just as great and Jo's knowledge of the local network of Consultant Specialists, together with access to local MRI at Heath Lodge Clinic, enables the effective management of time critical conditions.
